Gnocchi with Neapolitan sauce and sardines Santo Amaro

Gnocchi! Cooking time: 30 minutes A perfect lunch! A summer day, a celebration at home. This recipe is healty, nutritive and Delicious. For 2 servings you need:


Neapolitan sauce

  • Neapolitan sauce.
  • 2 ripe tomatoes.
  • 1 can of tomatoes.
  • 1 Carrot.
  • 1 Bulb Onion.
  • 6 garlic cloves.
  • 1 red bell pepper.
  • 1 tablespoon of oregano.
  • 1 handful of basil.
  • Salt and pepper.
  • A tablespoon of olive oil


  • 1 can of Santo Amaro European Sardines in Olive Oil.
  • 250 grams of gnocchi.

1 cup of Neapolitan sauce In a frying pan you heat the oil, cut the tomatoes into large pieces, the carrot, onion, garlic and bell pepper, brown the vegetables over high heat, when they are crispy, add the canned tomatoes, oregano, basil and add salt and pepper.


On the very hot bread, add the lettuce, the peppers (which you previously roasted, peeled and removed the seeds), the pickles (you can replace them with olives) and on top of this mountain of flavor serve your Santo Amaro sardines.

Let cook for 10 minutes over medium heat. Let stand and process, bring to a boil for 3 minutes over low heat. Cook the gnocchi for 7 minutes, then drain and serve in a deep plate, top with the hot Neapolitan sauce, place the sardines on the gnocchi, a little oregano and pepper and it s ready to serve!
